Emergency Response First Aid

This course teaches Basic Life Support for those individuals that wish to know what to do in a life threatening medical emergency. At the end of the course they will be competent at CPR. So if but do not require a 3 day First Aid at Work or an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace qualification then the Emergency Response First Aid qualification will give you effective First Aid training on how to save a life in an emergency, this can be provided at the Academy or your own premises. This is an ideal qualification for anyone that doesn't have the time or the requirement of a full First Aid at Work HSE recognised qualification but wish to know how to keep someone alive until medical help arrives.

Content:

• The aims and priorities of First Aid.
• Personal Safety.
• Sending for help.
• Casualty Management, prioritising of casualties and their injuries.
• The unconscious and non-breathing casualty.
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Choking
• Dealing with blood loss
• Shock.

Duration:

Half day (3 hours minimum)

£31 per candidate

Assessment:

Students knowledge and skills are examined at the end of the course by the instructor will evaluate the response to a life threatening emergency for effective CPR. Certificate of attendance will be awarded to all students.
