HSE Changes in First Aid Qualifications
On the 1st October 2009 the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) made a number of changes to the way First Aid Training is delivered. The main changes being the Four day First Aid at Work (FAW) course being shortened to a three day First Aid at Work course and the introduction of a new qualification, Emergency First Aider in the Workplace (EFAW) which effectively replaces the Appointed Person Course.
